The ASU Architecture Class of 1967, who were the Rio Salado studio class in the fall of 1966 who developed the concept of the Rio Salado Project, held a reunion on May 8, 2017 at the Tempe Town Lake. This video shows excerpts of the morning gathering. Twelve members of the 16 member class (14 of whom are still alive) attended. Students came from as far as Hawaii, some hadn’t seen each other for 50 years. Besides the reunion, a main purpose was to take a group photo at newly installed plaques commemorating the four phases of the 50 year project. Students were also honored at the ASU Graduation Ceremony that evening.
